At Lilac Thyme Stables, meeting the needs of our
students is our primary goal.

We tailor our lesson programs to reflect and enhance the rider's level of skill and ability. Wherever possible, we attempt to group together students with similar goals, ages and levels of experience. We primarily give group lessons, however private and semi-private lessons are also available.
In order to facilitate and foster learning and progress, students gradually move to more and more challenging horses, as his or her skill level grows. Our instructors also present each student with more advanced exercises as their level of skill improves. In addition, every horse is carefully chosen each day to match a student's ability and desired type of riding. Because of the variety of horses and different specializations of our instructors, you can try any type of seat you prefer. We offer Saddle Seat, Hunt Seat, Western, Dressage, and Driving lessons. |

OUR ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM:
We have developed a level rating program so we can assure that each student learns all the necesssary skills to become a profician equestrian. Each level from 1 to 10 builds upon the previous skill level, and each studentt recieves a ribbon for completing each skill level. This also gives the student incentive to push forward and allows parents to monitor how their child is progressing. |

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM:
A volunteer program is available for students wishing to spend more time around the horses. The requirements are: the person must be a current student at Lilac Thyme, and they must have achieved level 4 in our Achievement Program. Our helpers learn about horse care, horse first aid, lunging, etc., as they assist students in getting ready for lessons. Regular helpers earn monthly free rides as a reward for volunteering their time. |

HORSE SHOW PROGRAM:
In the warmer months, we have a horse show program for our better riders. Students can sign up to get a taste of what equine competition is all about. We go to local shows which have a variety of divisions, including performance, trail and games classes. |
